Abstract
THE SAN MATEO COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SERVES AS THE SETTING AND THE CIVIL DIVISION CAPTAIN AND DEPUTIES PROVIDE THE EXPERTISE FOR THIS COMPREHENSIVE LOOK AT THE FIELD OF COURT ENFORCEMENT. THE PROGRAM COVERS A FULL RANGE OF TYPICAL ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING COURTHOUSE SECURITY, CONTROL AND MOVEMENT OF PRISONERS, AND THE EXECUTION OF CIVIL ORDERS, AND STRESSES THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ENFORCEMENT STAFF IN PROVIDING THESE SERVICES TO THE COURT. THIS VIDEOTAPE IS INTENDED FOR USE BY NEW AND IN-SERVICE DEPUTY SHERIFFS AND DEPUTY MARSHALS SERVING THE COURT IN AN ENFORCEMENT CAPACITY.
