AN ARTICLE DESCRIBING DESPECIALIZATION OF THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION FUNCTION IN BURGLARY, THEFT, ASSAULT, AND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF CASES, AS PART OF THE MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OREGON, TEAM POLICING PROGRAM.
Abstract
A CRITICAL ELEMENT OF THIS SYSTEM, THE MANUAL CASE MONITORING SYSTEM, IS DESCRIBED IN TERMS OF ITS TWO COMPONENTS. THE PRIORITY SYSTEM COMPONENT CONSIDERS FACTORS SUCH AS THE GRAVITY OF THE OFFENSE AND THE PROBABILITY OF SOLUTION IN ASSIGNING PRIORITIES.
