INSTRUCTIONAL MANUAL DESIGNED TO HELP POLICE OFFICERS DEVELOP PERFECTION IN THE ART OF 'ANATOMICAL' AND 'POSITION' POINT-SHOOTING, UTILIZING DIRECTED FIRE AND INVOLVING THE 'SHOOT WHEN IT FEELS RIGHT' CONCEPT.
Abstract
THE 'ANATOMICAL' POINT-TECHNIQUE CONCEPT HAS TO DO WITH ACCURIZING DIRECTION (LEFT AND RIGHT CONTROL) AND UTILIZES THE 'V' FORMED BY THE THUMB AND FOREFINGER OF THE SHOOTING HAND, AS IT GRASPS THE BUTT OF THE PISTOL, AS A NATURAL POINTING AID. THE 'POSITION' OR 'PHYSIOLOGIVAL-FEEL' POINT-TECHNIQUE CONCEPT HAS TO DO WITH ACCURIZING ELEVATION (UP AND DOWN CONTROL) AND MAKES USE OF THE SENSORY RECEPTORS IN TENDONS THAT CAN HELP A SHOOTER KNOW WHEN HIS OR HER WRISTS AND ARM ARE IN PROPER SHOOTING POSITION.
