THIS DOCUMENT DESCRIBES SOME MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED DURING THE MITRE CORPORATION'S NATIONAL-LEVEL EVALUATION OF THE HIGH IMPACT ANTI-CRIME PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH A LEAA AGENCY.
Abstract
THE EVALUATION WAS UNDERTAKEN JOINTLY WITH THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE, AND IT PROVIDES SUGGESTED MODELS FOR MONITORING PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION ON A REGULAR BASIS. METHODS ARE PROPOSED FOR INTERVENING IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT TO ENSURE TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
