Abstract
THE TEXT OF THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS GIVEN BY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION IS FIRST PROVIDED. CONFERENCE PAPERS ARE PRESENTED ON SUCH TOPICS AS JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM COMPUTER SIMULATION, PRIVACY AND PROTECTION OF COMPUTERIZED JUVENILE RECORDS, COMMUNITY REACTIONS AND OPPOSITION TO THE USE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN THE JUVENILE COURT, AND JUSTIFICATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE COMPUTER IN JUVENILE COURTS. SEVERAL CASE STUDIES OF JUVENILE COURT INFORMATION SYSTEMS ARE PROVIDED, INCLUDNG THOSE IN LANE COUNTY (OR), SANTA CLARA COUNTY (CA), CHICAGO (IL), AND FLORIDA.
