A METHOD IS PRESENTED FOR CALCULATING THE COMPARATIVE COST EFFECTIVENESS OF EITHER INSTALLING ADDITIONAL LIGHTING OR PURCHASING MORE SENSITIVE CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION CAMERAS TO SECURE LARGE, POORLY LIGHTED AREAS.
Abstract
THE DECISION-MAKING PROCEDURE TAKES INTO CONSIDERATION THE SIZE OF THE AREA TO BE VIEWED, THE TYPE OF LUMINAIRE, THE SPEED OF THE LENS TO BE USED, THE SENSITIVITY OF THE TELEVISION CAMERA UNDER CONSIDERATION, THE TYPE OF IMAGE TUBE (SILICON VIDICON OR STANDARD VIDICON), AND LOCAL INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL RATES.
