CRITICISM OF THE PHILOSOPHY, POLICIES, ADMINISTRATION, ORGANIZATION, AND DEPLOYMENT OF THE FRENCH NATIONAL POLICE SYSTEM AS UNDEMOCRATIC, POLITICALLY REPRESSIVE, AND INADEQUATE IN PROVIDING LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR ASSERTS THAT, ALTHOUGH ONE ABLE-BODIED FRENCHMAN OUT OF EVERY HUNDRED IS INVOLVED IN POLICE WORK, THERE ARE NEIGHBORHOODS THAT ARE NEVER PATROLLED. AT THE SAME TIME, HE FURTHER ASSERTS, LARGE PARTS OF THE BUDGET ARE ALLOCATED TO BUY EQUIPMENT FOR THE PARAMILITARY RIOT-CONTROL POLICE (C.R.S.) WHICH HE MAINTAINS IS MISUSED FOR POLITICAL REPRESSION. THE AUTHOR ALSO DENOUNCES THE TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL VALUES OF THE FRENCH POLICE AS CONTRARY TO THE IDEALS OF A FREE AND DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY. --IN FRENCH...TL
