DESCRIPTION OF A COURT SCHEDULING SYSTEM IN ST. LOUIS WHICH ALLOWS FOR THE SCHEDULING OF OFFICERS FOR MUNICIPAL COURT APPEARANCES DURING ON-DUTY TIME.
Abstract
THIS OFFICER SCHEDULING SYSTEM IS A MAJOR PART OF THE RECENT REORGANIZATION OF THE ST. LOUIS MUNICIPAL COURT. THE PLAN PROVIDES FOR A COURT SCHEDULE CONSISTING OF NUMEROUS ONE-HOUR COURT SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. AT THESE HOURLY SESSIONS, A LIMITED NUMBER OF CASES ARE HEARD; THEREFORE, THE AMOUNT OF TIME DEFENDANTS AND POLICE OFFICERS MUST SPEND IN COURT IS KEPT TO A MINIMUM.
