THIS POLICE PATROL SYSTEM STUDY WAS PERFORMED FOR THE SAUGUS, MASSACHUSETTS, POLICE DEPARTMENT WHOSE 47 EMPLOYEES (46 SWORN), SERVE 25,000 PERSONS LIVING IN AN AREA OF 10.58 SQUARE MILES.
Abstract
THIS REPORT, DATED DECEMBER, 1976, CONTAINS THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FROM A STUDY OF THE UTILIZATION OF MANPOWER AND TECHNIQUES USED IN THE POLICE FORCE. THE ASSESSMENT OF THE PATROL FORCE WAS UNDERTAKEN TO DETERMINE IF THE CURRENT RISE IN CRIME IN THE TOWN OF SAUGUS NECESSITATED ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL.
