THIS EVALUATION STUDY WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, POLICE DEPARTMENT, WHOSE 1,389 SWORN POLICE OFFICERS SERVE 770,527 PERSONS LIVING IN AN AREA OF 313 SQUARE MILES.
Abstract
THIS REPORT, WHICH IS DATED NOVEMBER 29,1976, CONCERNS THE ARJIS PROJECT THAT WAS BEGUN IN NOVEMBER, 1975. THE PRIMARY GOALS OF THE PROJECT IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED AND AUTOMATED REGIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEM TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA. THE EVALUATION APPROACH OUTLINED IN THIS REPORT DEALS SPECIFICALLY WITH THE OBJECTIVES OF NINE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT PROJECT AND HOW THESE OBJECTIVES CAN BE ACHIEVED.
