Abstract
JUVENILE COURT FORMS SHOULD BE AS READABLE TO A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD AS THEY ARE TO COURT PERSONNEL AND ATTORNEYS, ACCORDING TO THIS STUDY. THE 'WHEREFORES, THEREBYS, HERTOFORES, AND HEREINS' SHOULD BE ELIMINATED, AND SIMPLE LANGUAGE SUBSTITUTED FOR THEM. THE LANGUAGE AND REDUNDANCY OF THE FORMS, FROM PETITION TO CUSTODY FORMS, SHOULD BE REDUCED. THE FORMS SHOULD ALSO SERVE TO DOCUMENT A CASE AND BE EASY TO FILL OUT. THIS STUDY SAYS THAT THE FORMS SHOULD BE GIVEN CONTROL NUMBERS TO READILY IDENTIFY A CASE. SAMPLES OF THE PROPOSES FORMS ARE INCLUDED....BS
