ALONG WITH REVIEWING THE COURT COORDINATOR'S ROLE IN THE COURT SYSTEM, A GENERAL MANAGEMENT REVIEW WAS CONDUCTED, AND THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN RURAL JURISDICTIONS WERE GIVEN PARTICULAR ATTENTION.
Abstract
THE METHODOLOGY EMPLOYED BY THE CONSULTANT IN THIS STUDY CONSISTED OF OBSERVATION, INTERVIEWS WITH KEY PERSONNEL, AND A REVIEW OF RELEVANT REPORTS, GRANT APPLICATIONS, AND CASELOAD STATISTICS. IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE COURT COORDINATOR PROGRAM IS A SUCCESS AND THAT THIS USE OF MODERN MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES EFFECTIVELY REDUCES THE TIME FROM ARREST TO DISPOSITION OF CASES. THE APPENDIX PROVIDES FURTHER INFORMATION ON WAIVER OF INDICTMENT HEARINGS AND FORMS FOR UPDATING THE CALENDAR SYSTEMS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
