REPORT EXAMINES THE PROGRESS OF TENTH CIRCUIT COURT SINCE 1973 RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRESENTS ADDITIONAL PROPOSALS TO INCREASE THE COURT'S EFFICIENCY.
Abstract
THE 1973 INSTITUTE FOR COURT MANAGEMENT STUDY RECOMMENDED THAT TWO JUDGES BE ADDED TO THE CRIMINAL DIVISION, AND THAT THE COURT TAKE OVER THE SCHEDULING OF CRIMINAL CASES FROM THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. PROPOSALS ON CIVIL CASE PROCESSING WERE NEVER DEALT WITH, ACCORDING TO THIS REPORT, THEREBY EXACERBATING THE PROBLEMS ALREADY CONNECTED WITH IT. THIS REPORT PROPOSES THAT THE CIVIL SYSTEM BE IMPLEMENTED WITH DISPATCH. A DOZEN OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE ON PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS, JURY MANAGEMENT, AND ON A TIMETABLE FOR THE PROPOSED SYSTEM....BS
