Abstract
THE AUTHOR LISTS AND DESCRIBES SEVERAL SENSITIVE AREAS FOR A PRISON DOCTOR. THESE INCLUDE THE CRITERIA OF ADMISSION AND THE ISSUE OF VOLUNTARY VERSUS INVOLUNTARY TREATMENT, THE ISSUE OF INFORMED CONSENT, THE ISSUE OF CONFIDENTIALITY, THE ISSUE OF THE STATUS OF THE INMATE-PATIENT, ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND ITS IMPLICATION IN CLINICAL CARE, AND PSYCHIATRIC REPORTS AND DECISIONMAKING BY THE PAROLE SERVICE.
