THE REPORT, DATED JUNE 1973, IS THE RESULT OF A 2-DAY STUDY OF THE PROPOSED COURTHOUSE FACILITY NEEDS IN HOUSING THE PARISH'S LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.
Abstract
THE DISTRICT COURT HAS JURISDICTION OVER ALL CIVIL, PROBATE, CRIMINAL, JUVENILE, FAMILY, AND TRAFFIC CASES. IT SERVES A PARISH POPULATION OF 28,029 (1970) ALONG WITH SUCH AGENCIES AS THE PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICE, CLERK'S OFFICE, SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, AND VARIOUS OTHERS. FIGURES SHOW ORGANIZATIONAL AND SPATIAL RELATIONSHIP DIAGRAMS. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN IN THE FORM OF A TABLE WHICH LISTS FACILITIES, EXISTING PERSONNEL, PROJECTED PERSONNEL, NET AREA REQUIRED IN SQUARE FEET FOR EACH AGENCY, AND THE ESTIMATED GROSS AREA IN SQUARE FEET.
