Abstract
THE STATISTICAL MEASURES REPORTED IN THIS DOCUMENT INCLUDE: NUMBER OF PETITIONS FILED FOR STATUS OFFENSES; NUMBER OF FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR OFFENSES ALLEGED; NUMBER OF CHILDREN DETAINED; AVERAGE DAILY POPULATION OF THE MECKLENBURG COUNTY JUVENILE DIAGNOSTIC CENTER; NUMBER OF CHILDREN INCARCERATED; AND AVERAGE CASELOADS OF JUVENILE COURT COUNSELORS. FOR EACH OF THESE AREAS, DATA IS PRESENTED FOR JULY 1973 TO JUNE 1974, AND JULY 1974 TO JUNE 1975. PERCENTAGES OF INCREASE OR DECREASE FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT ARE ALSO CALCULATED.
