ARTICLE DISCUSSES THE INTEGRATION OF PERSONALITY VARIABLES AS A THEORY OF REHABILITATION.
Abstract
ROLES, LABELING, AND SELF-CONCEPT ARE IMPORTANT PERSONALITY VARIABLES THAT INTERACT WITH THE REHABILITATIVE PROCESS. MILIEU THERAPY IS ONE IN WHICH MANY OF THESE PHENOMENA ARE FOUND. THIS TYPE OF THERAPY UTILIZES COMMUNITY-TYPE SETTINGS TO STIMULATE PERSONALITY ADJUSTMENT. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MILIEU THERAPY AND THAT ADVOCATED BY THE AUTHORS IS GROUNDED ON COGNIZANCE OF THE PAIRING PROCEDURES THAT BEST PROMOTE PERSONALITY AND BEHAVIORAL CHANGE....BDS
