Abstract
THESE JOBS WILL BE SERVICED BY PRECINCTS THAT DISPATCH UNITS BY SYSTEMS OTHER THAN SPRINT. THIS REPORT DEVELOPS SHUNTING PROCEDURES DESIGNED TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECTIVE FOCUSING ON CONGESTION AT THE DISPATCHING STATION AND OVERLOAD TO THE PATROL CARS IN THE FIELD. TWO ALGORITHMS ARE PROPOSED. THEIR FORM IS BASED ON CONGESTION AND DELAY COMPUTATIONS MADE USING QUEUEING MODELS OF DISPATCHING AND PATROL OPERATIONS. THE AUTHOR STATES THAT SINCE THE ALGORITHMS ARE OF SIMPLE STRUCTURE AND HAVE MODEST DATA AMD COMPUTATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE EASY.(AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)...TWH
