THE HOME PROVIDES SHORT TERM RESIDENCE FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS NEEDING SERVICES WHICH INCLUDE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION, EXTENDED FAMILY COUNSELING, TREATMENT, AND PLACEMENT.
Abstract
THE EVALUATION DESIGN OF THIS PROGRAM THAT ADMITTED 135 GIRLS IN FISCAL 1975 CONSISTED OF THREE MAJOR ASPECTS: STAFF INTERVIEWS, QUESTIONNAIRES SENT TO PARENTS AND GIRLS, AND A FOLLOWUP OF GIRLS WHO HAVE BEEN RESIDENTS AT THE CLINIC. RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDED REDUCTION IN STAFF TURNOVER, IMPLEMENTATION OF CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES, IMPLEMENTAION OF PROGRAMS TO REDUCE RUNAWAY INCIDENTS, FOLLOW-UP EVALUATIONS OF GIRLS, AND HAVING GIRLS PRESENT DURING DISCUSSION OF THEIR PSYCHIATRIC AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST RESULTS....TWH
