THE PROJECT WAS ESTABLISHED IN JAN., 1972, TO ALLOW THE COUNTY ATTORNEY'S STAFF TO FUNCTION ON A FULL-TIME BASIS, TO REDUCE STAFF TURNOVER, AND ELIMINATE CASE BACKLOG ATTRIBUTABLE TO INADEQUATE MANPOWER.
Abstract
THE STUDY METHODOLOGY INCLUDED ON-SITE REVIEW OF THE OPERATION OF THE COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, BRIEF VISITS TO RELATED AGENCIES, AND INTERVIEWS WITH THE COUNTY ATTORNEY, KEY MEMBERS OF HIS STAFF, AND JUDGES. THE EVALUATOR CONCLUDES THAT MOST OF THE PROJECT GOALS HAVE BEEN MET, SUCH AS: REDUCTION OF CASE BACKLOG AND A HIGHER DEGREE OF SPECIALIZATION.
