Abstract
THE USE AND PRECEDENCE OF WIRETAP EVIDENCE IN STATE PROCEEDINGS IS EXPLAINED, AS WELL AS THE METHODS AND OBJECTIVES OF ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE. ONE SECTION DESCRIBES THE LAW PRIOR TO 1968 PERTAINING TO WIRETAP LEGISLATION. THE RAMIFICATIONS OF ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE WITHOUT A COURT ORDER ARE PRESENTED. THE CRIMINAL PENALTIES AND CIVIL REMEDIES TO ILLEGAL ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE ARE ALSO GIVEN....BDS
