THIS COMMUNICATIONS STUDY, DATED APRIL 20, 1977, WAS PERFORMED FOR THE FREMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT, WHOSE 169 PERSONNEL (113 SWORN) SERVE 117,000 PERSONS LIVING IN AN AREA OF 84.3 SQUARE MILES.
Abstract
THE TWO PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ASSIGNMENT WERE: TO ANALYZE THE FREMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT RADIO FREQUENCY PROBLEM AND RECOMMEND THE BEST SOLUTION, AND TO PROVIDE A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE CONSOLIDATED CENTRAL DISPATCH CONCEPT AS APPLIED TO THE FOUR CITIES IN SOUTHERN ALAMEDA COUNTY. FOLLOWING AN ANALYSIS OF THE PROBLEM, THE CONSULTANT OFFERS HIS FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS. THE BULK OF THE TEXT CONSISTS OF APPENDED MATERIAL THAT REPORTS ON A SURVEY OF THE FOUR CITIES.
