THE DESCRIPTION CONTAINS GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO MOTHER AND CHILD BOTH DURING AND AFTER INCARCERATION AS WELL AS THE RESULTS OF A 1974 CHILDREN'S DEFENSE FUND STUDY OF THE CHILDREN OF WOMEN PRISONERS.
