THIS STUDY TAKES A LOOK AT THE PROGRESS TOWARD SOCIAL REINTEGRATION OF 50 RELEASED PRISONERS IN ITALY.
Abstract
ANALYZING DATA GENERATED BY RESEARCH ON THE SOCIAL REINTEGRATION OF 50 RELEASED PRISONERS CONDUCTED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GENOA, THE AUTHORS COMPARE TABULATED FINDINGS COLLECTED DURING THE PERIOD OF DETENTION WITH THOSE GATHERED SIX MONTHS FOLLOWING RELEASE FROM PRISON. THE DATA, BASED ON PROJECTIVE PERSONALITY TESTING AS WELL AS DIRECT INTERVIEWS, COVER SUCH FACTORS AS PSYCHO-PATHOLOGICAL PERSONALITY TRAITS, INSTITUTIONALIZATION DURING CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE, EDUCATION, WORK PATTERNS, CRIMINAL CAREER, AND LENGTH OF SENTENCES. THE POST-RELEASE INVESTIGATION FOCUSES ON FAMILIAL RELATIONSHIPS, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND OTHER PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED ON RELEASE. DATA ARE PRESENTED IN TABULAR FORMS. --IN ITALIAN.
