THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES A LIVESTOCK THEFT PREVENTION METHOD IN WHICH OWNERS AND RANCHERS FORM PREVENTIVE PATROLS WHICH WORK IN CLOSE COORDINATION WITH THE COUNTY SHERIFF.
Abstract
EACH COUNTY IS DIVIDED INTO A NUMBER OF PRECINCTS, EACH HAVING ITS OWN PATROL ASSOCIATION. PRECINCTS ARE ESTABLISHED ON THE BASIS OF THE AMOUNT OF RUSTLING ACTIVITY TAKING PLACE, THE SIZE OF THE ASSOCIATION IN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP, AND THE EQUIPMENT NEED OF THE PATROLLING FORCE.
