THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAPER IS TO EXPLORE HOW COMMUNICATION SATELLITES MAY BE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION EDUCATION-TRAINING PROGRAMS.
Abstract
ADDRESSED ARE THE GENERAL NATURE OF CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS, THE EDUCATION-TRAINING CHARACTERISTICS OF CLIENTS OF THE INSTITUTIONS, THE EDUCATION-TRAINING PROGRAMS OF INSTITUTIONS, AND SOME OF THE DEFICIENCES OF THESE PROGRAMS. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION OF HOW SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY MAY PERMIT INSTITUTIONS TO SHARE RESOURCES AND THUS CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF CURRENT PROGRAMS.
