IT IS THEORIZED THAT AS THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY EXPANDS DURING THE NEXT FEW YEARS, IT IS POSSIBLE THERE WILL BE A GROWING NUMBER OF LOW-LEVEL NUCLEAR INCIDENTS, BUT WILL NOT POSE SERIOUS THREATS TO PUBLIC SAFETY.
Abstract
IT IS PREDICTED THAT THE SPREAD OF NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY AND GROWTH IN THE NUMBERS OF NUCLEAR FACILITIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WILL INCREASE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOME TYPE OF NUCLEAR ACTION BY TERRORISTS. THE AUTHOR CONSIDERS IT IS BETTER TO ASSUME THIS WILL OCCUR AND TAKE STEPS TO BE PREPARED, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME NOT EXAGGERATING THE THREAT TO THE POINT OF CURTAILING NEEDED NUCLEAR DEVELOPMENT....RCB
