Abstract
IN CONSEQUENCE OF THE FAILURE OF THE MULTIVARIATE ANALYSES UNDERTAKEN IN THIS STUDY TO PROVIDE USABLE ACTUARIAL PREDICTION EQUATIONS FOR FUTURE INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AMONG RELEASES FROM A COMMUNITY CORRECTIONAL CENTER, THE BEST AVAILABLE UNBIASED ESTIMATES OF SUCH FUTURE INVOLVEMENT ARE TO BE FOUND IN THE MEAN VALUES AND/OR PROPORTIONS FOR THE SEVERAL PREDICTOR VARIABLES IN THE PRESENT STUDY. THESE DATA ARE CONSIDERED TO BE REGARDED AS NORMATIVE BASE-RATES APPLICABLE TO FUTURE RELEASES NOT DISSIMILAR IN IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS TO THE SUBJECTS REPRESENTED IN THE PRESENT SAMPLE....RCB
