THIS PLAN REPRESENTS UTAH'S INTENT TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS OF LEAA'S RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO THE PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF CRIMINAL HISTORY INFORMATION SYSTEMS.
Abstract
THE PLAN SETS FORTH OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES ON COMPLETENESS AND ACCURACY, LIMITS ON DISSEMINATION, AUDITS AND QUALITY CONTROL, SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY, AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OF ACCESS AND REVIEW. THE STATE PLAN INCLUDES A CERTIFICATION STATING THE EXTENT TO WHICH PLAN PROCEDURES HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED AND DETAILS THE STEPS UNDERTAKEN TO ATTAIN FULL COMPLIANCE. ALSO DESCRIBED ARE THE FORMAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE STANDARDS AND GOALS ADOPTED BY THE STATE. THE PLAN PRESENTS A SCHEDULE OF MAJOR MILESTONES AND THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF INVOLVED AGENCIES.
