Abstract
THE HANDBOOK IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE GRAND JURORS WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE GENERAL NATURE OF THEIR FUNCTIONS AND WITH SOME PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW THEY CAN CARRY OUT THOSE FUNCTIONS. GRAND JURORS ARE URGED TO READ THE HANDBOOK BEFORE THEIR TERM OF SERVICE BEGINS AND TO KEEP THE BOOK AVAILABLE FOR REFERENCE DURING THEIR TERM. THE DISTINCTIONS BETWEEN REGULAR GRAND JURIES AND SPECIAL GRAND JURIES ARE EXPLAINED, AND INFORMATION RELEVANT TO SERVICE ON EACH TYPE OF GRAND JURY IS PRESENTED. (LKM)
