Abstract
CONCEPTUAL MANAGEMENT THEORIES WITH PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN A LAW ENFORCEMENT SETTING ARE EMPHASIZED. EACH CHAPTER OF THE TEXTBOOK IS SELF-CONTAINED AND PROGRESSES SEQUENTIALLY FROM THEORY THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION. DISCUSSION-TYPE QUESTIONS FOLLOW EACH CHAPTER FOR USE IN CLASS OR AS INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENTS RELATED TO RESEARCH REPORTS, ORAL REPORTS, AND EXAMINATION QUESTIONS. FILMS ARE RECOMMENDED TO SUPPLEMENT CHAPTER CONTENT. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE COURSE BE INITIATED WITH AN EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE, GOAL, AND OBJECTIVE TO BE ACHIEVED AND THAT APPROPRIATE WORKSHOPS BE INTEGRATED DURING THE LATTER PHASE OF THE COURSE. TOPICS CAN BE COVERED IN ONE OR TWO CLASS SESSIONS (110 MINUTES).
