Abstract
A DISCUSSION OF THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF GOOD FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS PRESENTED, WITH ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING: (1) THE SELECTION OF THE CORRECT BULB TYPE, SIZE, AND COLOR; (2) PROPER SYNCHRONIZATION OF CAMERA AND FLASH; AND (3) THE METHODS OF DETERMINING CORRECT FLASH EXPOSURE. THE MATERIAL COVERED RANGES IN SCOPE FROM AN EXPLANATION OF THE INVERSE-SQUARE LAW TO THE PROPER CARE OF BATTERIES AND THE CLEANING OF FLASH CONTACTS. (KBL)
