THIS 1977 REPORT OF THE ILLINOIS JUDICIAL CONFERENCE INCLUDES THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ASSOCIATE JUDGE SEMINAR, JUDICIAL CONFERENCE, AND SEVERAL REGIONAL SEMINARS.
Abstract
THE 1977 ASSOCIATE JUDGE SEMINAR PROVIDES DETAILS ON THE ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMITTEES IN CHARGE OF THE SEMINAR, THE AGENDA, AND REPORTS ON SEMINAR PROCEEDINGS AND DISCUSSIONS. DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD ON SEVEN TOPICS INCLUDING THE WORK OF STUDY COMMITTEES CHARGED WITH EXAMINING BAIL PROCEDURES AND ENFORCEMENT OF SUPPORT ORDERS, COURTROOM PROCEEDINGS AND DECORUM, RECENT COURT DECISIONS, CRIMINAL LAW, JUVENILE LAW, AND EVIDENCE. THE JUDICIAL CONFERENCE ANNUAL MEETING REPORT PROVIDES A GENERAL OVERVIEW AND PRESENTS SPECIFIC REPORTS AND DICUSSIONS. REPORTS WERE PRESENTED ON THE ILLINOIS PATTERN JURY INSTRUCTIONS, THE STUDY COMMITTEE ON JURY SELECTION, THE STUDY COMMITTEE ON BAIL, AND THE COMMITTEE ON JUDICIAL EDUCATION. DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD ON THE TOPICS OF EVIDENCE, RECENT CIVIL LAW DEVELOPMENTS, CRIMINAL LAW, MOTION PRACTICE, HOME RULE, AND CONTEMPT. REPORTS ARE INCLUDED ON A SERIES OF REGIONAL SEMINARS HELD TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE, CIVIL REMEDIES, CRIMINAL LAW; AND JUVENILE LAW. MAPS AND LISTS OF JUDGES ARE PROVIDED FOR THE STATE SUPREME COURT, AND THE CIRCUIT AND APPELLATE COURTS. (KCP).
