THE FUNCTIONS AND ORGANIZATION OF EACH GROUP ARE DESCRIBED BRIEFLY, FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION OF INFORMATION SOURCES AND DATA CONSTRAINTS. MANPOWER STATISTICS CONTAIN BREAKDOWNS BY AGE, SEX, EDUCATIONAL LEVEL, SALARY, AND SKILLS. TYPES OF ACTIVITIES REPORTED IN THE MANUAL INCLUDE REPORTED CRIMES AND ARRESTS FOR 1976; TRIALS AND APPEALS; JUVENILE SERVICES SUCH AS PROBATION, COUNSELING AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMS; AND PRISONS, PROBATION, AND PAROLE.
