Abstract
THE SUPPLEMENT IS BASED ON A REVIEW OF ALL U.S. SUPREME COURT DECISIONS THROUGH THE END OF THE 1977-78 TERM, AND OF LOWER FEDERAL COURT DECISIONS TO THE BEGINNING OF 1978. CRIMINAL PROCEDURES EXAMINED INCLUDE ARREST, SEARCHES AND SEIZURE, CONFESSIONS, CRIMINAL IDENTIFICATION, PRELIMINARY PROCEEDINGS, ARRAIGNMENT AND PRETRIAL MOTIONS, IMPANELING THE JURY, TRIAL PRACTICE AND EVIDENCE, SENTENCING AND PUNISHMENT, POST-TRIAL MOTIONS AND APPEAL, EXTRAORDINARY REVIEW, AND JUVENILE PROCEEDINGS.
