SUMMONSES ARE SEPARATED INTO TWO MAIN CATEGORIES: GENERAL CHARGES AND TRAFFIC CHARGES. LISTINGS ARE BOTH ALPHABETICAL AND BY NUMERICAL CODE. BOTH CHARGES WHICH WOULD BE RECORDED ON A CHARGE SHEET AND OFFENSES WHICH WOULD NORMALLY BE DEALT WITH USING A SUMMONS ARE INCLUDED. OFFENSES SUBJECT TO ARREST WITHOUT A WARRANT ACCORDING TO THE 1967 CRIMINAL LAW ACT ARE INDICATED BY THE LETTERS A.O. ALTHOUGH SPECIFIC WORDINGS OF CHARGES AND SUMMONSES ARE PROVIDED, THE MAGISTRATES' COURT RULES REQUIRE THAT THE DETAILS OF THE OFFENSE GIVEN SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO DESCRIBE THE OFFENSE IN ORDINARY LANGUAGE.
