THIS ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY PRESENTS CITATIONS OF 140 PUBLICATIONS ON THE SUBJECT OF WOMEN AS PROBATION, PAROLE, AND CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS IS THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIELD.
Abstract
FOLLOWING A BRIEF INTRODUCTION, THE CITATIONS ARE LISTED ALPHABETICALLY BY AUTHOR UNDER THE GENERAL HEADINGS OF BOOKS, REPORTS, AND PAPERS; ARTICLES FROM JOURNALS AND MAGAZINES; AND THESES AND DISSERTATIONS. SEVERAL STUDIES CITED IN THE LIST SUGGEST THAT WOMEN MUST BE INTEGRATED INTO ALL PHASES OF CORRECTIONS. THE DATA ALSO SUGGEST THAT THE AREA OF WOMEN IN ALL FIELDS OF CORRECTIONS IS BADLY IN NEED OF FURTHER RESEARCH, DOCUMENTATION, AND CASE STUDIES. (PRG)
