QUANTITIES (GRAMS) SEIZED, NUMBER OF SEIZURES, AND NUMBER OF PERSONS IMPLICATED ARE TABULATED BY GEOGRAPHICAL REGION AND COUNTRY FOR THE CATEGORIES OF RAW AND PREPARED OPIUM, MORPHINE, DIACETYLMORPHINE, COCAINE, CANNABIS, OTHER NATURAL DRUGS AND THEIR DERIVATIVES, SYNTHETIC NARCOTIC DRUGS, SUBSTANCES NOT SUBJECT TO INTERNATIONAL CONTROL, AND MISCELLANEOUS. REMARKS INDICATE COUNTRIES WITH HIGHEST PERCENTAGES OF ARRESTS, SEIZURES, OR METHOD OF TRANSPORT PER COUNTRY. FURTHER ANALYSIS OF INFORMATION IS BROKEN DOWN BY GEOGRAPHICAL REGION, WITH ATTENTION TO SIGNIFICANT TRENDS, CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF REGIONAL TRAFFICKING, AND EXTRAORDINARY OCCURRENCES.
