Abstract
THIS PUBLICATION, WHICH IS PART OF THE MARYLAND TRAFFIC COURSE GUIDE, IS INTENDED TO FAMILIARIZE STUDENTS WITH THE LEGAL ASPECTS OF COURTROOM PROCEEDINGS IN TRAFFIC VIOLATION CASES. IT IS INTENDED TO ENABLE THEM TO DEFINE DOUBLE JEOPARDY, RECOGNIZE THE RELATIONSHIP OF DOUBLE JEOPARDY TO TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, AND IDENTIFY VALID AND INVALID DEFENSES FOR THE SAME TYPE OF CASES. QUESTIONS FOR SELF-TESTING ON EACH ITEM ARE PROVIDED. KEYS (POSTTEST RESPONSE SHEETS) ARE APPENDED.
