THIS POLICE TRAINING FILM REVIEWS WAYS IN WHICH POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD STAY IN PROPER PHYSICAL CONDITION AS THEY GET OLDER.
Abstract
POLICE OFFICERS WILL PROBABLY EXERCISE LESS AND LESS AS THEY GET OLDER AND MAY FIND THEMSELVES SITTING AND EATING MOST OF THE TIME. GETTING ENOUGH EXERCISE IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE OF A LACK OF TIME, OR BECAUSE THE OFFICER JUST DOES NOT CARE ANYMORE. OFFICERS MUST KEEP THEIR HEARTS STRONG, THEIR CIRCULATION OPEN, STIMULATE THE ADRENAL GLANDS, AND AVOID STRAIN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO STAY ALERT AND NOT SLUGGISH. WALKING IS THE BEST EXERCISE AND ONLY 15 MINUTES OF WALKING A DAY WILL BE ENOUGH. POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD ALSO TAKE PART IN SPORTS, CALISTHENICS, AND ARM EXERCISES, AND EACH INDIVIDUAL SHOULD KNOW HOW MUCH EXERCISE IS NEEDED. AN INSTRUCTOR'S GUIDE IS INCLUDED.
