Abstract
The volume incorporates the annual report of the Office of Court Administration as well as reports by other judicial State agencies and is intended to provide meaningful information to citizens, the legislative branch, and the executive branch. A descriptive outline establishes the court structure and court jurisdiction of Texas as of January 1, 1980. The numerous reports of the judicial agencies include contributions by the Texas Court Reporters Committee, the State Law Library, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and the Board of Law Examiners. A collection of recent developments, studies, and reports affecting the judicial branch includes legislative changes, court decisions, Attorney General opinions, and annual supplemental compensation charts for judges. Charts provide statistics on court activities on all levels, with special emphasis on district courts, county courts, justice of the peace courts, and municipal courts. The volume also includes directories to courts, judges, clerks, and retired judges.
