The audience rides in a police cruiser with Officer Stark as he describes the wide range of work performed by police officers. The viewer watches police officers rush medicine to an injured person, provide a police escort for a funeral procession, give directions to an out-of-town visitor, and patrol a business district at night. Police teamwork is also shown in an armed robbery incident in which police, detectives, and a police dispatcher obtain information about the robbery and search for the getaway van.
