This is the final report of the Springfield (Mo.) Police Department for the period January-February, 1980, to the Missouri Integrated Criminal Apprehension Program (ICAP).
Abstract
Completed ICAP forms are presented in the area of general department information, major ICAP components, and project activities for each ICAP department. Other activities and accomplishments pertinent to ICAP are also noted. Specific information is provided for crime analysis, patrol deployment, operations analysis, patrol and investigations, crime prevention activities, and project activities. The bulk of the report consists of 15 appendixes, which include a concept paper for police/prosecutor career criminal unit, evaluation of the police department, and monthly program performance reports for ICAP components for January and February. Other appendixes present newspaper articles on crime and crime prevention, Community Outreach Police Team monthly summaries, and the Springfield Police Department standard operating procedures for case investigation by patrol and for booking records and reporting system. Additional appendixes contain a proposed records system design, a report on staff proposals for fiscal year 1980-1981, a telecom evaluation, letters concerning a patrol crime prevention program training day, and recommendations for hidden eye camera locations.
