Designed for the individual California police officer in a police education course, the filmstrip and accompanying audio cassette and workbook cover part two of a lesson on California criminal law regarding sex crimes and child protection laws.
Abstract
The lesson teaches the officer to identify the elements of the corpus delicti for specific relevant Penal code (PC) crimes, to define the specific intent that needs to be shown in PC 288 crimes, and to identify three criteria which may be used to distinguish between innocent and unlawful acts in investigating PC 288 crimes. It also teaches the officer to identify essential differences between PC 288 and 647a crimes, to describe the major circumstances which need to be shown in making a charge for PC 653g (loitering), and to identify the PC numbers for crimes described in the lesson. The cassette instructs the officer when to use the workbook and how to check the answers. The workbook includes a posttest and instructor's answer key. For part one of this lesson, see NCJRS 75370.
