This handbook provides participants in the Comprehensive Crime Prevention Program (CCPP) with easy access to the information available from the 16 CCPP jurisdictions.
Abstract
The program is one of three major crime prevention programs currently being sponsored by the Office of Community Anti-crime Programs of LEAA. The handbook is divided into four sections. The first provides a brief pictorial and narrative description of CCPP and is intended for those who may need to provide a general description of the program. The second section presents a general demographic overview of the 16 CCPP jurisdictions and also identifies each project's objectives and strategies. The third section consists of resource and skills matrices. It identifies those individuals and organizations with particular expertise in a variety of CCPP-related areas and identifies specific areas of expertise for each individual and organization. The last section is a directory of each jurisdiction's key participants by functional area (project management, police, agency and community representatives) as well as a listing of LEAA personnel and CCPP program consultants. Included are current titles, addresses, and telephone numbers.
