Regarding enforement activity by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its task force, tables present data on DEA arrests by drug and by class of violator and on Federal and State court dispositions. Also presented are statistics on domestic arrests by DEA and other Federal agencies, State and local drug law arrests, foreign cooperative arrests by drug, domestic and task force drug removals by drug, U.S. Customs Service illicit drug removals, and other enforcement activities. Statistics on drug abuse indicators cover adjusted heroin retail price and purity by geographical distribution, drug thefts by geographic regions, drug-related injuries reported from hospital emergency rooms, and Federally funded drug treatment admissions. Also given are organization and training data for DEA personnel and field offices and for domestic and foreign enforcement officers.
