Abstract
The 1-day/one-trial system of jury management, under which the citizen serves on only one trial or for only 1 day, was successfully implemented in Montgomery County last year and will be adopted in 1982 in Baltimore. A traffic adjudication system was set up in five Maryland counties, and an evaluation of all data processing activities was completed. Judicial education is being revamped through the establishment of the Judicial Institute of Maryland, and increased efforts were made in court-supported education. Other activities and accomplishments are mentioned, and information is given on the appointment, discipline, and removal of judges and on 1981 legislation affecting the courts. Judicial maps, tables, graphs, pie charts and other illustrations are provided.
