Female criminality is as much a universal phenomenon as male criminality is, but there has been a general apathy to study it.
Abstract
Crime, in all types of societies, is increasing - only the degree varies. While total crime in less developed countries is 'less' at one time, it is the high rate of increase at that time, which matters. In India, female crime is rising sharply as compared to male crime. In itself the percentage growth in female crime is MORE than 'their' percentage increase in population. If the masked nature of female crime is considered, the situation deteriorates even more. 'Thefts' and 'Riots' are the most prominent crimes of female indulgence. Assam and Kerala are the two states ranking top most in female crime in India. (Author abstract)
