Seven commercials promoting the Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC) Program in Montgomery County, Md., are delivered by LEAA's Narcotics and Drug Abuse Program Coordinator.
Abstract
The speaker urges county residents to join TASC, a federally funded program designed to reduce drug abuse and drug-related crime by offering therapeutic alternatives to nonviolent arrestees with serious drug abuse problems or histories. The offenders are urged to ask their lawyers, probation officers, or court commissioners about the program. The commercials range from 25-40 seconds in length and are thus adaptable to different time slots.
