Abstract
All of the recorded arrests occured between July 1, 1979, and June 30, 1980. The data indicate that the number of total arrests for juvenile delinquency was 20.3 percent in fiscal 1980 over those arrested for the same offense in fiscal 1978. When compared to 1978, the number of arrests for parole violation decreased by 30, or 10.5 percent. Disorderly persons arrests significantly decreased. Approximately 75 percent of those arrested were 21 years of age and over. Of all the arrests, 60 percent occured within the first year of parole, 75 percent occured within 18 months, and 93 percent occured within 3 years of parole. Five tables are provided.
